Heidi is a dual-certified family medicine and adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner with over two decades of experience in internal medicine, critical care, emergency medicine and orthopedics. Her extensive healthcare experience and management of critical conditions and chronic illnesses, coupled with her volunteer work with emergency medical services and free clinics, has given her a well-rounded perspective on her patients’ health. She also understands how available resources, or their absence, can significantly affect individual wellness in both rural and urban communities.
Heidi’s personal experience with a medical condition that resulted in an endocrine dysfunction drove her to explore other approaches to medical evaluation and management of her condition. She discovered that her condition was rooted in a deficiency of testosterone and thyroid dysfunction. She became a Biote patient herself. Normalizing her hormone levels has not only allowed her to regain her previous level of physical function but has also significantly improved her overall quality of life.
Her dedication as a healthcare provider revolves around treating the whole patient, taking into account how their condition or symptoms relate to their physical, mental, and environmental aspects. This commitment is reflected in the name of her clinic: Holos Health and Wellness.
As a provider, Heidi is passionate about assisting others in identifying deficits in their hormones or addressing any other factors negatively impacting their well-being. She offers her patients hormone therapy while guiding them toward the best next steps to maximize their quality of life. Heidi offers medical guidance and support for patients and their primary care providers in partnership. Her recommendations are derived from a blend of eastern and western medicine and vary according to each patient’s unique needs and wellness goals. Heidi’s dedication to holistic care and her personal journey makes her a compassionate and knowledgeable healthcare partner for those seeking improved health and vitality.
Stacy has been a practicing Physician Assistant for over 17 years, with the majority of her career spent in emergency medicine. While she continues to work part-time in the ER, her own journey with an autoimmune diagnosis sparked a new passion in more natural and holistic approaches to healthcare and wellness. She recognized that traditional western medicine did not seem to be addressing her whole health picture, and became one of Heidi’s first patients at Holos, finally gaining hormone optimization and significant symptom improvement. She joined Heidi in practice at Holos Health and Wellness in February 2025. Stacy brings the same dedication and compassion that she’s provided to ER patients to those in her wellness practice, and enjoys working with patients to create individualized plans for supporting long term health.
